Facilitation Basics

Facilitation and facilitated workshops are considered by many organisations to be the best way to produce high quality decisions and outputs in a short space of time. The focus is on a team based approach which creates a very high level of ownership to the final product or deliverable.

A facilitator looks at the dynamics in a group of people and gives the meeting or workshop a clear purpose and structure. The facilitator then acts as a neutral ‘referee’ and allows the group to concentrate on the content

Is this you?
  • decision making is a lengthy process and is often seen as poor in retrospect
  • requirements take a long time to finalise and are not regarded as very good by either the business or I.T.
  • meetings are poorly run perhaps taking twice as long as they should
  • solutions are quickly found when in truth the problem has not been fully understood
  • projects are slow to start and take a while to get going
KRC provides accredited facilitators and trains people in the art and science of facilitation.
