Training route to DSDM Atern certification:

How to achieve your DSDM Atern Practitioner certification.
Here are the steps:
1. Attend a DSDM Atern Practitioner course and take the DSDM Atern Foundation exam on the last day of the course (the foundation exam is optional and not necessary to go for your Practitioner certification - although we do recommend it)
2. Go away and use DSDM Atern on a project. You must have 6 months experience to apply to the Consortium to go for your Practitioner certification.
3. Apply to the DSDM Consortium (www.dsdm.org) giving details of a project you have used DSDM Atern on, including the Practitioner course you attended (if applicable).
4. They will either accept your application or will tell you that you need more experience and to reapply in the future.
5. If they accept your application you will be invited to submit a written piece of work about a project you used DSDM Atern on (or a similar agile method - making comparisons to DSDM Atern).
6. Once you pass this written part they will invite you to attend an oral exam.
7. Once passed you will be a certified DSDM Atern Practitioner.
NOTE: You can apply to the DSDM consortium to go for your Practitioner certification without attending a training course, but you will need a minimum of 1 year’s experience (as opposed to only 6 months if you attend a course).
See the diagram below which shows your route to Practitioner certification if you have attended a DSDM Atern Practitioner course:
